Os pigmentos usados no século XIX segundo George Field

O livro Chromatography or Treatise on Colours and Pigments as Used by Artists, de George Field (1777-1854), publicado pela primeira vez em 1835, é um dos mais importantes tratados do século XIX sobre pigmentos. Já há algumas semanas referi aqui a existência online do fac-símile de uma das edições que conheceu, designadamente a edição de 1869, revista e actualizada por Thomas Salter. O acesso a essa edição, no entanto, não era directo, já que implicava a adesão a um projecto de digitalização de livros – o projecto Distributed Proofreaders.

Graças a esse projecto, já há alguns dias que está livremente disponível online esse livro, mas agora em formato de texto – com a vantagem da possibilidade de pesquisa. Está disponível aqui.
